Well seeing how im going to the AirForce ( which every one I bet is getting sick of me telling them) I ran across a little info that I thought was really sweet.  It appears that once you get out of your BMT(Basic Military Training) and your AIT( your teck schooling) and arrive at your duty station you can take flying lessons for almost free.  If you were just going in as a enlisted man and not as a officer to begin with it sounds like a good deal you see alot of my friends are in the military Marines, Army, AirForce and they said that the flying clubs are worth looking into if your a enlisted man. plus when your haveing the military pay for your collage so you can become a officer its a really good deal, plus it really looks good when you apply for OTS or as some have called it OCS becouse the AirForce see's that you have got your pilot ratings from them ( alittle butt kissing to get the job ya want Kiss HaHaHa.  Anyone else ever here of these clubs before?

Yea the U.S. AirForce I would love to be a officer when I go in but thats not going to happen.   I want to know how to work on the aircraft too, I like to know how things work from the inside out.  Plus it helps me get my foot in the door to become a pilot.  I would love to fly a AC-130H/U Gunship but if I had my pick I would go with a fighter jet, well maybe I really want to work with the Special Operations Command.  My budy in the Marines just got picked to work on the presidents aircraft, which is really funny becouse he didnt want that detail he was the only guy in his class that didnt put in for it.  Hes went from fun in the sun in Florida to the back woods of Nort Carolina I think thats where he is right now before he get to start working with the Big Mans planes Ect...

N505AF good luck on becoming a pilot in the AirForce.  When I was in I knew at least 4 Officers that were waiting to get into flight school, or that had already completed flight school, but were stuck in different ground jobs until a slot opened up, then it was on a seniority basis.  You really need to be sharp on your math and physics.  If you are color blind forget about it

I hope this doesn't deter you in anyway.  GOOD LUCK Grin

Have you ever stopped to think, and then forgot to start again!?

Im 1% nervous and 99% excited its a job just like any outher, im trying to get the tec school to work on the Nav instruments in the cockpit and then crosstrain to be a Flight Engineer.  Being a Flight Engineer is all part of my plan to becomeing a pilot in the AirForce (which by the way they are low on right now Cheesy).  The military is the only thing I know besides aircraft my dad was in the Army for 31 years and I got to go on Army bases and shot M-16's, M-60 machine-guns and even a 155MM Howitzer.  Im really excited to go but im kind of sad I hafe to give everything I know up(like family & friends) to go do my job... Cry Cry Cry  But its a job that hast to be done.  Oh I was trying to get posted at Hurlburt Field, Florida the home fo the 16th Special Operations Wing  Wink

O.K. im not an American but I'd love to do a orign exchange tour with the U.S.M.C. or the navy air wing, I am currently trying to get into the R.A.F. as a pilot. Also did anyone around here fly AH-64s as I have a friend who wants to fly RAH-94s in the army (brittish).
