G'day,

I've been leeching aircraft from Simviation for over a year now and a couple of small problems with some of the new Boeing 777's has encouraged me to register and ask about them.

One of the problems I had with the older packs was lots of flickering textures in the VC which could become quite aggravating on a trans-alantic flight. Given that the new packages all come with improved VC's, I decided to give them a try. I've not yet ascertained if the flickering is gone because somewhere between the old packs and the new ones, something has gone awry and I have not a clue on where to begin.

I have a Saitek ProFlight Yoke with the Switch Panel and Multi (AP) Panels added on. The new 777's have very little tolerance for the autopilot panel.

Airspeed seems to be okay but I cannot set an altitude, vertical speed or a heading via the knob on my panel. They work using old fashioned mouse control and they update the panel, but the panel will not update the VC.

That is glitch number one. I tried a dirty trick to fix it but just made things much worse. that was to copy the 'panel' directory from the old 777 over the new one. That caused FSX to crash when I tried to load the 3D engine.

If you know what I need to do to make the VC accept panel input like it once did, I'd be most grateful if you could let me know.

The second issue is a really weird one. I was taking it out for a test run and loaded it up in an FSPassengersX flight. Once boarding had completed, I pressed the button to switch on the seatbelts sign and began pushback.

All on it's own, the new 777 bonged and switched off the seatbelts. So I press the button again to turn them on. The 777 bonged again and turned them back off. At that point I aborted the FSP flight and began scratching my head...

That one is new to me... Again, I'd be eternally in someone's debt if I could be shown how to disable that as I like to have complete control over all aspects of my FSP flights and don't fancy the idea of the aircraft potentially sabotaging me.

I quite like the 777 and would love to fly it, but with the two glitches mentioned above, is not possible.

Apologies for my first post here being an info-hunt on two very setup-specific issues. Hopefully, I can be a bit more productive in near future.

Many thanks and kind regards,

Rob.
