1963 Ford Galaxie 500
Gave this car the name Black Bart 20 years ago. On a cool summer evening you'll find me out every now and then, just pointing the front end down any ole road.

This was the only shot I had for now, in the spring when I unpack the shed and ready Black Bart for another year I'll get some better shots. He's tucked inbetween a 67 T-Bird and a 68 Galaxie XL right now.

That's purdie (that's pretty with an accent).....  Wink

My mom had a mint green 65 Ford Galaxie 500 4 door. Never thought much of it; I was more interested in the 65 Vette. But at 15, all I could do is drool.... Sad

Very nice machine! I can't think of a modern day North American car that has bench seats in the front. The bench seat was very handy when taking a girl to the outdoor movies.
And the whitewall tires.. back then, put the 'man' in manhood.
Thanks for posting, I was a mopar guy back then and my best friend was a Ford guy. We spent hours arguing about which was better.    Cool

Wow. At fifty, that's a beauty.

Can't say the same for me though. Born the same year, but certainly don't look near that good. A very nice car indeed.

The guy behind this displayname is not a pilot but has flown small craft like Cessnas and Pipers and is truly addicted to being airborne...he's not sure if the stage or the pilot seat is more fun, so he'll try and keep getting to both.

"Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth and danced the skies on laughter silvered wings. Sunward I've climbed and joined the tumbling mirth of sun split clouds.....and done a hundred things you have never dreamed of.....wheeled and soared and swung high in the sunlit silence. Hovering there, I've chased the shouting wind along and flung my eager craft through footless halls of air.

Up, up the long, delerious, burning blue I've topped the wind swept heights with easy grace where never Lark, nor even Eagle flew. While with silent lifting of mind I've trod the high untrespassed sanctity of space, put out my hand and touched the face of god"

That's a shame. I never liked bucket seats, they limit the amount of people that can sit. I can carry four in my bench as long as they don't mind getting bumped by the shift knob Cry
