From Jetranger:

Its with Great Sadness & Sorrow to have to announce that on January 22nd 2013 , I lost my Father of 82 years who passed away of Leiukema and other complications.

He flew 53 years as a private pilot without an incident, it was his hobby, he owned a 1965 Cessna 172.

With More Great Sorrow & Sadness , I also announce that I was informed on 2/5/2013 (tuesday), that my Beautiful Husky Girl "KEISHA", passed away on me unexpectdly while being cared for at the Vetinary College in Columbia , Missouri.  Cry Cry Cry  Sad Sad  Cry Cry

My Beautiful Keisha was diagnosed with Diabetes and we were treating her for it and had her blood sugar under control, but she developed other problems too.

KEISHA  was 8 years old HUSKY.

I'll miss them both dearly, very, very much !

Links to my KEISHA Tribute Video are below as well as a really Great Anthem in Tribute to both my Father and my Beautiful Husky Dog, otherwise known as my "WIFE" !

Enjoy the links.

R.I.P. both of you !

I'll Miss you both more than you'll know  Cry Cry

Very sorry to hear.

You have my deepest condolences.

A bad day at golf is better than a good day at work.

Sorry, Jetranger...

My, uncle -- the last of my family's WW2 vets -- died in June of 2011 (he was  two years, nine days older than your Dad).
My Dad's sister had two Siberian huskies and, for a short while, we had a male malamute (Mom's next eldest sister had a female malamute); except for the demise of my aunt's siamese cat with her Siberians, they were nice dogs.

Cool

Hi Jetranger.
It's always hard to know what to say in these circumstances. To lose one loved one is bad enough but to lose two loved ones in a short space of time is really hard.
Please accept my condolences.

Zaphod.

Cry Cry Cry

Thanks, its been really super tough, I'll tell ya

sure took my desire to do any flight simming right out of me,,,,,,,

I contacted a Portrait Artist over in North Carolina,, who's going to paint & Airbrush me a 24 X 36 portrait of my Keisha so I can frame it on my living room wall , as a tribute to her , which I'll have framed & matted.

Its just really hard losing her in such unexpected short notice, along with my father / dad too, just 2 weeks prior,,,

really just sucks !  Cry Cry

anyway, thanks guys !

Jetranger.

Albeit late, my condolences for losing Dad and Best Pal. If I can offer any advice, it is to keep moving onward and upward, as I've been told before we are only given what we can handle in this life. Hang in there.

The guy behind this displayname is not a pilot but has flown small craft like Cessnas and Pipers and is truly addicted to being airborne...he's not sure if the stage or the pilot seat is more fun, so he'll try and keep getting to both.

My deepest condolences to you, Jetranger. I'm sure you're sick of hearing advice on how to get past it... the answer is to celebrate their lives, not dwell on the voids created by their parting. Life is too short to stay blue.  An excerpt from a song by one of my favorite bands, 311:

Beyond The Gray Sky
It is a gift I know
A moment of bliss that we hold
A firecracker flash of light then on
To the next plane soul remain
Come along if you dare
It's gonna be that you're scared
Lovely life I thank you
For the reason to see the pain through

Light a candle for the dead
The wick is burning returning what we have
It's who we are....
One day you'll see the clear blue
Beyond the Gray Sky
