Hi all,

With struggling to hover I remembered that there had been an hover gauge so I searched for and installed the one below:

http://simviation.com/1/download?file=Rotorcraft-Auto-Pilot.zip&fileId=37349

If you go into fs gauges and search for autopilot, it's on page 4.

Having followed the instructions, when I display the autopilot gauge/panel, I'm getting no figures appearing on it's display.

If I click on the altitude button, that is the only time that any figures appear and then it's only whilst mouse pointer is over the switch, the other thing is that the figures appear at different place on the panel to where the graphics  screenshots show.

On the aircraft.cfg file I've over written the autopilot pilot section with the txt that comes with this panel addon.

Is there any other addon that I should be using as yiou would in fs9 such as the fsuipc?

Other info: I'm on fsx gold fully installed and win 7 64bit.

I'm sure another version of hover that I've used worked but not even that works this time.

regards

Steve

So far my number of landings either passenger or pilot equal my number of takeoffs, but that is due to change Smiley

Yes you do need fsuipc.
I use this one:

It works with any helo l've tried so far. and l mainly fly helos.

Cheers guys, what I've done is install the fsuipc, downloaded the autopilot from Dirk Fassbender website and all seems OK apart from a toggle that I think is inverted.
In the centre of the gauge you have the 'Stab' button along with a 'lamp'

I'm finding the autopilot is active with the lamp off and this one thing that may have been confusing me and cause me to try different versions.

The hover function appears to be every 10ft, I'd like it every 5 ft, can this be done with a bit of tweaking?
