So I have a physics exam tomorrow, and there is a sheet that we need to hand in before the exam. I have all the questions done except for one, which I have been trying to get for a few days. Anyway, the question is:

Thomas Young's double slit experiment was an exhibition of his genius. Describe the four problems that he needed to overcome in order to show diffraction in light and explain how he solved them.

I have one problem (He needed to disprove Isaac Newton's idea that light was a particle). Just 3 more now.You guys would be a  lifesaver, and help me on my way to a career as a pilot someday!
Thanks in advance

This probably isn't much help; but there is an interesting read on the subject at - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Double-slit_experiment

"I have a place where dreams are born, And time is never planned. It’s not on any chart, You must find it with your heart."

Albert Einstein - "Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe."

Martin Luther King Jr. - “Nothing in the world is more dangerous than a sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity.”

Johann Wolfgang von Goethe - “There is nothing worse than aggressive stupidity.”

Mark Twain - “Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.”
