Well I made the leap... it was a blind one.. but now I barely look back!

I updated from a 32 bit version of Windows XP home, to Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit.

And WOW.. I have been using windows 7 for over a week now, but I still can't get over how much better then XP it is!

Forget the asthetics, and the cool background that changes, but ALL of my games have changed for the better.. Even the ones that are not DX10, or 11, like skyrim.

ALL the games have better performance, they look better, and I can utilize DX11!

Out of all the games, crysis 2 shocked me the most..

I couldn't get more then 15fps or so from the regular version of Crysis, on DX9c, on win XP..

On Win 7, I am playing crysis on max with the DX11 patch, and the official high Resolution textures pack, and I still get 25FPS with all of that!

FSX went from 18fps on medium settings (with few clouds, barely got 10fps when flying in cloudy weather!)

Now fsx gets a steady 20FPS with max settings, and drops to around  16 fps or so in severe clouds.

I am SO happy I got windows 7!!

I would recommend anyone that does not have it to get it!

(screw windows 8 until games are DX12 and the next gen consoles have come out)

But yea.. If you can't tell.. I am very happy I made the upgrade!!

Its the best thing I have got for my computer since I got my first true flat screen  Grin Grin

I am somwhere I don't know where I am!!!&&
