I assigned Shift-X for all my tail hook animations in FS2002! All the functions work fine from the modeling point of view! I'm
trying to figure out how to add sounds for the raising of the
tail hooks the way the flaps do!  Smiley

Thanks!  Cool

Are you sure this is even possible?

I looked through the SDK and I can't see any way to associate a sound with tailhook movement.

If you conclude that it's possible the sound files are just .wav files.  Since I have no idea what a real tailhook sounds like I'd just use the flaps sound.

A bad day at golf is better than a good day at work.

The aircraft in question is the FS200x - T-65AC4 X-Wing and Panel Package by Robert "Krypto" Kaster.  The S-Foils are programmed to open with the tail hook key.  I suspected that the tail hook might not have a default sound, so I downloaded a copy of the Programmable Sound Playback Switches MP3/WMA/WAV/MID Gauge by R. L. Clark!  My son likes it either way, he's a big Star Wars buff!  Wink

Thanks, Webb!
