http://music.yahoo.com/news/manager-jazz-composer-pianist-dave-brubeck-dies-1704...

I first encountered his albums in 1966 at a friend's girlfriend's house, her father was a jazz pianist and had the whole set of them.  'Take Five', on his 'Time Out' album, is a real gem of jazz, in 5/4 meter, and just so cool.

(5/4 meter:  Best example is the 'Mission Impossible' theme.)

R.I.P. Dave, and thanks for all the tunes.

Gosh, that is a loss to music, he was an amazing talent. I used to listen to him a LOT with my dad who was a massive fan. Whenever I listen to Dave it reminds me of my dad.

Even today...I have never fully recovered from the loss of my very good musician friend; Mr. Johann Sebastian Bach.

Paul....another Organist (Hammond B3)... Smiley...!

Dave isn't dead!  He merely switched to playing the harp. Smiley
