Some of the newest Virtavia freeware files are ".msi" files instead of ".zip" files. When I try to download them my Vista op system gives me a warning message to the effect that ".msi" files can damage my computer.

What is going on ? What is a ".msi" file anyway ?

Thanks,

That's odd. .msi is the format used by the Microsoft Windows Installer files designed to work with Windows.

You might need 3rd party software like 7-Zip to extract the files. http://www.7-zip.org/

Just double click on it  --- it should install fine. (No need to use anything else or 7zip) It's just an install file and actually very easy to use.  Smiley
