Here's a few pics about me gliding alone above Bekescsaba, Hungary, with a Ka-7 two-seat glider. The back seat is empty  Grin

Outstanding! Are you still training?

The Ka-7 looks very similar to the SGS 2-33 I fly... at first I though it was a lot faster, but then I noticed the ASI is marked in KpH...  Cheesy 100 mph would be cause for alarm in a 2-33!  Grin

nice pictures, looks like the Ka8 I used to fly after having finished in the 2 seater (K13)

Is the Ka7 a 2 seat version of the K8? as I've not seen one.

I flew k8 k13 k21 and k23s' at the long mynd in the UK.

Has the canopy had a weld repair at some point?
On the right hand side it looks like maybe an acid repair to the plexiglass.

I notice your not wearing a parachute? Presume you didn't have to do, we had to do but then we did a lot of aerobatics.

regards

Steve

May the Mynd be with you.
So far my number of landings either passenger or pilot equal my number of takeoffs, but that is due to change Smiley

Hi!
Here's a pic about the Ka-7, and I think it's very similar to the Ka-8.

And yes, the canopy was repaired many times, this is a very old plane, it has been used for training for about 50
years. And don't mention careless people... That large crack on the left side in the first pic was made in this year, by a broken string, that holds the canopy in it's opened state.
And of course I'm wearing a parachute, it's a regulation in Hungary, too. It is that blue strip on my shoulders.

Hi David,

The Ka7 does look like a cross between the K8 and K13.
Here is a picture of me and the K13 back in about 1992/3.

The name I use here EVVFCX are the registration letters of the K23s' I used to fly, EVV and FCX.

...

I was wearing a red T shirt almost same shade as the parachute.

Steve
