Is there a version of IL-2 that might run on this pc?
IBM Thinkcentre 8171 S51 SSF PC
Win XP Pro 5.1 Build
P4 @ 3 GHZ
Intel 82915G/GV/910
GL Express 128 MG
on board graphics
Direct X 9.0
2 GB PC 3200 SDRAM
This pc currently is running cfs2 & 3 and Flight Sim 2004 very well. Thought I might grab a version of IL-2 and see what happens. The graphics are actually very good on this pc with the onboard graphics. I would like to try another video card in it but finding a suitable low profile card has been frustrating.

IL-2 1946 is the most framerate friendly sim I know of. On my old computer I got good framerates.

This... Is Rio.

Loud and talkative Bengal cat. He's not ours; his owner lives two houses down, but he wanders around the neighborhood getting food and talking to his human friends. He'll sometimes get into a fight if he meets another cat though... But it's rare because he's kicked out all other cats in the neighborhood. He thinks all the houses are his too...
I came up with the name "ilikerio" way back in 4th grade, and I've used it with most user accounts ever since.

You could try the first one to come out: IL2: Sturmovik. It ran great on my old Core 2 Duo and 1GB RAM.

Just buy the 1946 version. It includes the whole series and after updating to the 4.11 version it has a lot of content. Plus its pretty cheap, usually I find the baseline Il-2 for the SAME PRICE as Il-2 1946 (which does not make a lick of sense).
As I said, 1946 includes the whole series, each addition adds content more than change graphics so if you can run Il-2 (which you really should be able to) then the rest will be no problem.

I have 1946 and love it either with the Ultra Pack mod or update to 4.11 it provides a lot of entertainment.

PS I suggest looking up Il-2 online air racing  Wink

4.09 with UP 201 is the way to go... A lot of great mods work only with it...
