Good morning all... Smiley

Well the old girl is getting ready to go and get saved again... Grin

She is so bad through the week that she goes every Sunday to get saved... Tongue

Not me, I am a perfect, wonderful gentleman who goes three time a year and stays for the treats after the sermon... Shocked     Grin     Wink

Now I started working on my third part to my flying camping trip this morning and the old grey matter started to roll around.

With the below installed:
-Ground Environment X...USA CANADA ALASKA
-Ultimate Terrain X...CANADA
-REX2...Essential
-ORBX Scenery...Pacific Fjords
                      ...Pacific Northwest
-FSX & Acceleration

I see all kinds of cars, trucks, buses and boats but never ever a train of any kind.
I see the rail road tracks okay.

Was just wondering if trains do show up in FSX.    Smiley

Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug

Funny, I never gave this a thought. I don't believe that there's trains anywhere in the FSX world that are actually moving, though that would be cool.

... Grin... Grin...!

Fortunately, as an Englishman, I live on a country completely devoid of any frantic religious activity; so on Sundays, I just go shopping!
Apparently, so I hear, some of we Heathens pray to groups of standing stones, waiting for the Sun to shine through them, at certain times of the year, when its not raining...
Me?....I still go shopping... Smiley...!

Trainz?

I have "Ultimate Terrain USA and Canada FS 2004" with its realistic/accurate track layout, (as well as the roads), and a few Locos on the line would certainly brighten the scenery up a bit!
..and some Union Pacific Twin Horns would sound very nice!

Good morning Paul... Smiley

As I mentioned to jime in the above post it would be nice to see some trains moving in the next Microsoft Flight Simulator Game.

I am wondering, if we see buses and large trucks moving on the highways how hard would it be for someone to add a couple of moving trains in FSX.

The Scenery "tracks" are already there so could a program  be made to add a few trains without a great deal of problems for FSX.

Not a computer person by any means but would it not be the same as developing an aircraft or boat for FSX?

Just a thought on my part Paul.... Wink

"Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth and danced the skies on laughter silvered wings. Sunward I've climbed and joined the tumbling mirth of sun split clouds.....and done a hundred things you have never dreamed of.....wheeled and soared and swung high in the sunlit silence. Hovering there, I've chased the shouting wind along and flung my eager craft through footless halls of air.

Up, up the long, delerious, burning blue I've topped the wind swept heights with easy grace where never Lark, nor even Eagle flew. While with silent lifting of mind I've trod the high untrespassed sanctity of space, put out my hand and touched the face of god"
