My little Baby for FS 2004 and FSX. (only the P4, 2.8 GHz processor throttles my FSX).

nVidia Ge Force 9500 GT. PCIe.

£40 or less, new.

Low power consumption! (only 50Watts).

1GB of Memory.

Paul... Smiley...!

(I picked the 9500 GT because my Power supply is only 320 Watts).

I bought one of this

geforce Asus-GT440.

http://www.geeky-gadgets.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/02/Asus-GT440.jpg

it cost about $120 but trust me it worth it ,I put everything in full mode and still I'm getting 40FRPS (my CPU is a slow one e4500 core2duo)

to have this kind of frame rates with my old geforce 8400 I had to lower all the sliders to 0 and 1024x760 now with everything full up including antiasiliasing etc 1024x2048 getting 50-40

maybe wasn't so bad that that old card die  Grin

Well done. Alex..

Looking at the power consumption figures, it looks like a very good choice...>>>

http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/ASUS/GeForce_GT_440/24.html

It would certainly suit my lowly 320 Watt PSU!

Paul...nVidia GF 9500 GT 1 GB.... Cool...!
