...I really, really do... Angry...!

Flight1 methods for re-installing a previously purchased program...

REX FS 2004.
GE Pro FS 2004.
FS Panel Studio.

I've just spent the whole of today ..AGAIN..attempting to reinstall and validate my copy of GE Pro onto my new Hard Drive..without success..again...!
I can remember in the past, having exactly the same problem with trying to untangle the unbelievably complex method of reinstalling the above programs, so much so that I complained bitterly in the Flight1 Forum, about its over-complication!
The attempt at reinstalling FS Panel Studio was such a disaster that I purchased the CD Version in the finish...which meant paying TWICE for the same program!
With all my paid-for programs from other sources, a re-installation just involved a new download, and a re-insertion of my saved key in the program to re-activate it... Simple!
Why, oh why, oh why, cant Flight1 do the same thing, for the sake of simplicity?
At the moment' although I have previously purchased GE Pro for FS 2004, it is proving impossible to reinstall and validate the program again after downloading it!
I REALLY do get annoyed with Flight1 for wasting hours of my life with their over-complicated installation/re-installation methods!... Angry..!
..at the moment I still haven't got my copy of GE Pro re-installed, even though I've paid for it!

The thought of having to deal with Flight1 for a downloaded program in the future fills me with dread, and is something I will probably avoid now, if at all possible.

..after spending three whole days of prodding, poking, searching for various files and applications, hours of downloading Flight1 files that magically disappear again on completion...

...finally, after clicking on various files, the download finally completed and fully re-installed my paid-for-copy of Ground Environment Pro for FS 2004...Phew!

There is a tip here. If ever you ever wish to purchase something from Flight1, obtain the CD version if at all possible..NOT the download version!...You then OWN the program for installation/re-installation at any time!

Paul...three days of my life wasted!...again!... Angry...!

Morin to Ya Fozzer, I've purchased 1 or 2 things from Flight 1,, after doing so, I alaways made a CD of the installer, to keep in my Back up file library along with the other 3000 Aircraft / scenery CD's files I keep on my Sim Shelf. I have back up CD's on Disk of every Aircraft, Aircraft Texture, Scenery, and utilties that I have on my Flight Sim Hard Drive computer - Why,, Why go thru all that extra work,,, because of what you just stated "you spent 3 entire days just fiddling with that 1 issue" Ohhhh Yaaa its frustrating alright , I know the feeling,, I spent 4 -10 to 12 hour days fixing & repairing my sim and - and mind you - re-tweaking all my Aircraft CFG files back to the way I had them, after I Injected someones download airport program into my FSX Gold sim,,, that was a total waste of time and wasn't worth a hoot in the 1st place, and upon uninstalling the thing it made all my aircraft CFG files Dissappear along with all my Aircraft model CFG files too,,, rendering all my aircraft useless in my Sim,,, so I spent an entire week,, backing up everything to CD and made an organized library with everything labeled with a black Sharpie,, so I'll hopefully never have to waste time again like that. I've tested most of the Intallers out on my other Non- Flight Sim computer to see if they would even start up and begin to give me the aircraft I need, and so far they work.  I never used to do this and just assumed if I ever lost everything, I'd just go to where I got them, whatever web site, and everything would be okie-dokie, hunky dory,, well wrong, I assumed, took for granted guessed without thinking,,, NOT anymore, everything thats important to me gets saved to CD Disk to be put in my FSX Libarary !! So far 3000 Aircraft , bout 65 add on sceneries, a 1 utility, the rest are purchased product Disks I keep in my libuary as well, all my Saitek flight yoke/ rudder pedal stuff .  Anyway,, hell back up everything on CD Disk, worth the time and less frustration, took me about 90 to 100 Disks.  Jet....
