I just downloaded the Simtech Beechcraft C45G N7826L. What is the trick to getting the engines running. They will turn over with the starter but will not keep running. Fuel is on and mags are set to both. Throttles, props and mixture are all up.

Thanks

Well I start my FSX with engines running and this engine runs fine .. . But if you shut down this I also see it doesn't just restart with CtrlE.

Here is the start procedure from the original manual: (didn't try a restart)

Quote:
Manual Engine Start:

If you prefer not to use CTRL-E to auto-start your engines, here’s a run-down of the procedure:

   1. Insure the master battery switch and both alternator switches are on.
   2. Set engine throttles to idle.
   3. Set prop pitch to 100%.
   4. Set fuel mixture to 100%
   5. Set both magneto controls to “1+2”
   6. When ready, click the starter plunger for each engine in turn.
   7. Let the engines warm up at idle until the oil warning lights go out.

Edit: OK I followed the procedure and they would not start. The only way I got them started was to go to the Baron -- start the engines in that - then go back to the Beech 18.

No problems with the engines but it's caused all my aircrafts ailerones to go on full deflection, banking right!

Lifes too short. Deleteing.

Unlikely to be this plane. If it was the case it would have done that to mine too .. and it hasn't.

Calibration comes to mind .....

Not only do I have the engine starting isuue but it also caused all my ailerons to go to a full right bank also. Not just this plane but all my FSX planes. I shut down and restarted FSX and it cleared it up. Not sure if it will do it again.

Downloaded the D-Day version and had the same aileron problem. Further investigation showed that the problem was caused by my default flight which was saved with the auto pilot activated. Turning the a/p off has sorted that out.
