My name is Gerry and I could need some assistance with a unique problem with my system.I have a "spike elevation issue" for certain airportsi Alaska, Yukon and NWT.
I suspect that I downloaded a file or files that are causing this elevation problem. I do not know if the problem is related to: Mesh ? LOD's ? or what.
I looked in my Scenery library for specific files...I have deactivated some files but no positives results yet....
Thank you to anyone that could help me out with my situation. Smiley

Your "problem" certainly isn't unique...(in FS 2004)...

It affects most of us, and is due to conflicts with scenery Mesh, particularly any Mesh that we have added ourselves to the default scenery.
It can be visible in the elevations of certain airfields (runway often in a hole!), and can result in mountainous spikes in the scenery. It can also affect water and land elevations in coastal regions.

Its quite rare, and I generally put up with it.. Wink...!

Paul.... Cool...!

Greetings Paul Tongue
Thank you for your response and input !!  Being 69 yrs old I honestly do not have the know-how to solve my problem and as you suggest I will simply LIVE with it.
To you and your loved ones I wish you a Merry Christmas and the best of health.

Many thanks, Gerry...

There are all sorts of funny little quirks in FS 2004, but I take them all in my stride...and tell myself that the Sim is not for real..and just enjoy using it each day... Smiley...!

And a very Merry Xmas to you, and yours!

Paul... Smiley....!
