How would you go about designating bodies as water as seaplane ports in Flightsim? I want to create places for my Boeing clippers to fly in and out of, remote lake lodges, that sort of thing. Is there some software that helps with this?

You might try "Airport Design Editor". I can't post a link yet, so google FSDeveloper and look for the ADE forum.

1. find a body of water that is large enough to land in.

2. start the program

3. create new project

4. build "Water runway" on the body of water that is already in FS

5. build buildings on land around body of water in FS

6. save file, and put it in FS and activate

7. you now have seaplane port/base
