It is completed now:
http://www.caradvice.com.au/138850/tata-nano-goldplus-jewellery-car-worth-4-57-m...

After touring shows for 6 months, it is for sale.

How will Tata Nano with 95+ kg extra weight accelerate at highway speeds?
How much 22 carat gold (fortunately much harder than 24 carat...) do you expect to scrub off the car every time you clean mud and dust off it?

Can this Nano fit in a parking spot at Monaco Casino where a Bentley does not fit? And would you trust a blonde to fit it? (Gold is soft and can be recycled/smithed quite well when bent, but precious stones are brittle and irrecoverable when shattered).

Yes. Because if I were super rich I wouldn't think of an ultra luxurious Bentley or Rolls Royce. Or an Exotic Italian or Swedish Supercar.
I would go for an Indian hatchback which goes for over 1000 times the cost of the normal ones because it has some shiny rocks on it Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes.
Cheesy Cheesy Grin Grin Grin.
I'm sure one of the forum "oldies" will be interested Grin Grin Grin

Most people think that flying a plane is dangerous, except pilots because they know how easy it is.
Arguing with a pilot is like wrestling with a pig in the mud, after a while you begin to think the pig likes it.

Hmmph! I'd rather have a ZR1 Corvette.

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

That's not a car. That's a... a... let's leave it at this, or I'll end up slandering someone who REALLY doesn't deserve it. Tongue

And even if I force my stomach to stop revolving on at the sight and try appraising it like a jewelry modification made under the world most accredited, renown and prominent rules of worse taste... I can't but ask myself who has a safe so big to park that thing the night into so no car thief will get a drug overdose at his/her expense, or can afford a full time bodyguard for the car (whose weight will only end up worsening the car's already poor performances) when parked outside, so people with small knives won't get a souvenir from the car until no souvenir will available anymore. Huh

Some people really should stop thinking with their asses. Roll Eyes

They made a silver plated Audi A4 for a sheik a few years back. Personally, if I had the money, I would look for a Persu V3, or just build my own car.

The whacky cars are usually the most fun  Grin

Bad taste is bad taste. No matter from whom it comes or how much it costs. That is a certainty. At the cost of making a personal enemy of some American out there, I think that even chrome plating, when excessive, crosses the horizon of the events of the black hole of the Bad Taste (and I've seen on the TV or on the net both some examples that were literal kicks in the guts)... Wink

...and then it comes that thing above, that not only crosses the horizon of the events, but spearheads down towards the singularity exceeding the speed of light and managing to succeed in inverting the gravitational field and making even said black hole vomit in disgust... Grin

Defaced that way, that can be a lady's car AT BEST. And won't be detailing the worst cases.

It's even smaller than the cars we Italians made in the sixties and with more or less the same engines we used back then... then you put the gold plating and jewelry and so on... assuming no one nicks it as soon you look the other way, it's just...

...any comment I risk to make could be taken as racist, so I close this post with one single word.
