There are quite a few other great freeware & open source Plane, Car & Ship simulators. There are also some that simulate all the above

Here are just a few.
Car/Racing

Dolphinity Racer

An Open source game that focuses on realism, graphics & simplicity to create your own addons. In that order. Tongue

...
Lamborghini Murcielago roadster cruising Down the countryside.
It starts with one car and one track but there are plenty more. Does your copy of Forza motorsport or Need for speed shift have a car that you would like to see in the game? Convert it for yourself.

Pros  Smiley :
Great graphics
Lots of cars
frame rate friendly
I am currently too young to drive but I have taken driving lessons with my dad in the back yard in our Subaru Cheesy, and It seems pretty accurate and you are also free to adjust the cfg to make it suit your needs. Wink
The price seems pretty reasonable Roll Eyes

Cons Sad :
Anything later than 6.5 Wont run on integrated graphics cards. Such as mine Cry.
Needs A bit of a learning curve.
Advice:
Dont attempt to go into corners like you do in nfs. Causes allot of understeer And snap oversteer.
Choose your display settings before you get addons. no need to tell you why

I Am still looking for other freeware ones but when I do I will report back.  Cheesy

Flight simulators

Flightgear

Is also an open source sim. Perhaps the most popular of them all Cool

Sorry no need to put the screenie Roll Eyes

Pros:
Extreme systems, (e.g full b-1b cockpit, Tomcat rio cockpit modeled, Ability to shoot aim 9's e.t.c)
Many more Grin.

Cons:
Wont run on integrated graphics card.
flight dynamics are not the best,
It's way too cheap for what it deserves Cheesy
Advice: Dont turn too hard

Ysflight

Ysflight is a basic flight simulator that can simulate dogfights and Some Civil airliner.

...
The default planes are a major turnoff Cry.

...
Yumm, Lunch. Cant say it's a ambush predator Roll Eyes Cheesy

...
f-22 over Edwards AFB Cool.

Pros:
Excellent framerates<----------------------|
Lots of planes available                            |
Lots of military equipment                         |
(e.g Dogfights, ground attack e.t.c)           |
                                                           |
cons:                                          |
Low detail<-------------------------------|
Default planes are letdowns
Bad flight dynamics(e.g Stalls G forces increase too sensitively)

Advice:
Dont bother with the default planes. No offence soji Yamakawa Cheesy.
If you do nat know how to install planes reply here and I will tell you. Smiley Wink

Most people think that flying a plane is dangerous, except pilots because they know how easy it is.
Arguing with a pilot is like wrestling with a pig in the mud, after a while you begin to think the pig likes it.
