do you have audio for anything else on your computer? if you put a DVD in, will it play the sound from it?   If you go to YOUTUBE, can you hear sound?

uninstall / reinstall your programming for your flight stick and see if that works.

oh, and next time, try to come up with a better title/subject line other than "I'm flippin out"  how about "No Sounds after Computer Update"

All other sounds work fine. I did as you asked, nothing. Checked in my device manager and got this message....
Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52)

what was that error message for? Sound, or joystick/game pad.

next question(s)... what OS do you have, and what joystick/yoke are you using?

UNINSTALL the USB Ports.   YES... i know it sounds stupid, just do it.  UNPLUG EVERYTHING (except power and monitor cables)... shut down the computer. wait 30 seconds, and power it back up.

1 by 1 plug things back in and wait for your OS to recognize it.

I had a problem with my WIN 7 64bit home, kicked out my usb ports and this is exactly what I had to do it. Uninstall them, Unplug, restart, plug back in.. and everything was fine as far as USB.

This was told to me by a reputable I.T. Consultant for the NAVY. I trust him highly with my computer.

Not quite. I've never needed to "uninstall" the USBs from the devise manager, but I've had do the unplug/replug operation to fix a joystick on my system before. Who would thought, huh. Gotta love M$!

VERY suggested.

Make so that Windows proposes you the updates, and use your brain (and possibly Google as well) to understand if it's needed or can be forgot. Wink
