Dear all,

I have had reasonable success modifying some gauges in FS 2004 on my laptop, using various Tutorials.
Applying myself to the XML on my FSX rig has been rather discouraging !!.
Using 'Black Box' I have been able to view the results of some of my 'efforts'. I have found that I cannot get the G: variables to work at all (According to the extra bit in Black Box )!. A: and  L: seem fine.

1. Is my XML editor using the correct syntax ? it seems to wok with FS 2004.

2. Can the FSX XML 'Propdefs' and whatever else is needed be reinstalled/downloaded to cover the possibility of corrupted/missing files.

I do not mind a bit of mental gymnastics but I am down to my last brain cell !!

regards' Undecided

Gvars are only "seen" by the same gauge.

Therefore no other gauge can "see" them.

I will  look for similar code in a functional panel and check my syntax.

You can do that until the cows come home. The fact remains that G:vars are only "seen" within the same XML script.

This should be obvious since the "Black Box" can't "see" 'em!
