Before my academics consumed my life, I would spend some time doing my favorite thing in sims. Air racing. There is an excellent online air racing community that I was on that used IL-2 1946 exclusively, large variety of courses, and very strict set of rules and codes of conduct. It was always a hoot racing wingtip to wingtip and yes crashes were common! I suggest those of you that have the time and good internet connection to give this website a look-see and go to youtube and look up il2 air racing videos.
