I just upgraded my internet connection from 1.5 mbps to 3.0 mbps and pages are loading very slow. Some images are timing out before loading.

I ran tracert and did not see any blocks and I am not having problems anywhere else. I'm running Chrome, but I also checked it in I.E. with the same results.

Thanks Steve. I hate it's the site, but glad to know the problem is not on my end.

There have been a lot of issues with link images recently that have been making things tricky. Lots of people using linked images in their avatars and signatures as well as linking images in threads.
I've been taking them down as quickly as I find 'em. Can you guys give me some examples of problem threads for me to investigate?

I've noticed this too. No particular topic. I browse the forum by clicking the "View the most recent posts" feature* so I'm pretty certain it has nothing to do with avatars & sigs.

*I bet a lot of people don't know this exists. http://205.252.250.26/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?action=recent

PS. My own avatar & sig are not displaying now.

Doug, I'm seeing your sig and avatar without problems. What version of which browser are you guys running? I'm wondering if we're getting hit with something that might be browser related?

It comes & goes. I can see them again now.

I use Firefox 3.6.16 but it's the same in IE8.

Mark, I have not seen any image problems since I logged on a little while ago. There is still a short wait for pages to load, but so far all images are loading. I'm using Chrome 10.0.648.204, but I checked yesterday with I.E. 8 and got the same thing.

Are you still having a problem?
There was some kind of problem last night - I think I know what it was. However today all is looking fine. If you are still having trouble - have you rebooted recently?

All is good on my end this morning. Maybe a slight hesitation when pages load, however.

The images are loading, but it's still running a little slow Pete. Yes, I rebooted recently.

It always does sometimes -- always has. Nothing unusual unless it is ongoing or the page times out.
