This was just released, and I of course snatched it up.

Here is the end of my first flight, which started about 30 seconds after Installation, (didn't even pause to turn on the lights, I was so eager to fly this thing!) and ended shortly thereafter in an emergency landing.  (I better read up on those Pratts, so I don't burn one of them up next time).  Notice the smudge that came out of the exhaust pipe!  I haven't been this excited about a new release since?...hmm maybe never!

I guess all that single engine practice in the piston version of the Duke was worth it!

The first time out, I'm not quite sure what happened...all I know is that I rammed the throttles forward, Captain Sim style, and leapt into the sky Smiley  In real life, that would be what, a hundred thousand dollar mistake??  But I learned quickly, and haven't done that again. Since you are a real PT6 pilot, I'm hoping you will get this addon as well, and comment on how well they modelled the engines.  Real Air says that they worked around a lot of the limitations of FSX for turboprops.  Any pointers on the care and feeding of these things would be much appreciated.

Alongside the Jetstream 41, I think these might be the only two jetprops I'll have in my hangar.  (Sorry Cheyenne Cry)

Here is another pic showing off this planes climb rate.  I haven't flown many military planes in FSX, so I have to say this might be the hottest thing I've flown...it takes some getting used to.

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

I'm a low & slow single engine "pilot", but I have been eye-balling that Duke since it came out last year (Sept ?). If it's realistic enough to burn an engine up that quickly, I'm interested. I've been enjoying their Bellanca Scout for 3 years or so. Real Air makes some really fine aircraft... I might have to learn to think fast now.  Cool Nice pictures too...

Semper Fi,

Dave
