Unfortunately, we live in a time where people have no sense of humour. Their day consists of getting up, showering, having a cup of coffee and then looking for something that offends them so they can complain about it, or sue for some easy money Angry

The day Clarkson, Hamster and May become PC, is the day I stop watching them.

Matt (un-PC and proud of it Cool)

Iris de la Torre, a jewellery design student in London, is bringing the claim under a new equality law. Her lawyers claim it could cost the BBC £1million in damages.

A lazy, feckless, way of getting easy money, still she will be able to buy a new blanket  Grin

Can anyone find the news report where the Australian ambassador complains about the way the Oz TG arrive in a prison van or are made to sit upside down.

Or maybe the one about the French ambassador complaing about only murderers drive French cars Grin

While I'm sure someone at the bbc will issue an appology to calm the situation. I dont doubt for one second that before screening it they made sure their bases were covered over it.
Also I doubt for a second anyone at the beeb has the grapefruits to actually tell the presenters off, simply because these guys are a ratings bringer, and Clarkson owning the top gear rights, could bugger off to ITV or channel 4 in a heartbeat.

Personally I quite like Mexican food Cool
However I must say they were being very moderate about Mexicans. They didn't mention beheadings from drug wars and bodies turning up in mine shafts etc.
Frankly the Mexican ambassador can bite me! I've only come across a couple of Mexicans that have impressed me... and none of them have been around for a half century or so Roll Eyes

Angry  Come on now, that joke was on Top Gear last week when Jeremy saw this pretty American girl and told her she couldn't be American, she's not fat enough.  (rerun of course)

As hardcore American as I am, even I can laugh at their jokes  Grin

And I will say, I enjoy the American version of Top Gear, but the British version is much funnier.

I am loving the new season. Any episode where they take a trip together is usually fantastic, especially when they buy cheap old cars.
I think I want to find a BMW and replicate Captain Slow's Afrika Korps Beemer  Grin

TBH this season isn't really good IMHO only 16.1 16.3 and and 16.4 were any good..... The Snowbine harvester was funny but it seems like the three have to keep topping themselves. I think that's the charming bit of the U.S. version it's more down to earth with all kinds of old Top Gear antics.

One a side note....Amber Heard.... Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy I saw the interview again on the tube the next day and read some of the comments.....clearly most of them didn't know TG and/or JC and were rather offended ( understatement) by his way of interviewing etc  Tongue

They said they were offended.......Probably the sort of people who get out of bed, shower, get dressed and over a coffee go looking for something to be offended by. The world seems to be full of them at the moment Roll Eyes

Yes Matt, but you've got a pair of boys. I've got one of each and the daughter is the elder. I had to brainwash her from an early age that all a pony does is poo and cause trouble whereas a motorbike went really quickly and could be painted pink (clever bit of psychology there) Wink Grin

It's hard to convince a 4 month old.  If it doesn't deliver milk to her mouth she isn't interested.   Grin

I try to squeeze an episode in between naps.

BBC America aired Series 16 Episode 2 a couple weeks ago and they cut out the entire portion featuring the jokes.

The BBC say it is not censorship, but when the shows are shown outside of the UK, they are "modified" to cater for different countries. It is well know that American's, like German's don't have a sense of humour, so cut that bit out and you have more time for adverts Grin Grin Grin

All of them have had an 1 hour 20 minute run time on BBCA

The mexican joke one was 1 hour

But still they advertise them as the uncut unedited British version  Grin

You must have seen a rerun then. On Monday nights the new episodes on BBCA are 1 hour and 20 minutes. Unfortunately any reruns they play are the edited 1 hour versions. I can see WHY they do this, I just do not like it!
I do think they played the full version of last weeks episode after the new one last night though.
