Hello Simviation,

Would anyone like to do a repaint for this plane? It is a Learjet (N10JY) that I've been dying to see in FSX.

http://www.airliners.net/photo/Learjet-45/1692926/L/&sid=851ebf98fa42aa97b737676...

Thanks!

Yes, but not very good. I don't repaint the Learjet though, because of where the fuselage pieces are on the texture file.

Ah. Do you know of someone on here that is able to do it?

I'm sure there's plenty, but they haven't seen the post. If they have, they don't care since we're only base members. And to them it might seem like we're whining for a paint when we're inexperienced enough not to to it ourselves.

Yeah. I do wish someone with talent would give it a try, but like you said, nobody really cares.

Having painted the default L45 I can say that livery would be very difficult to make due to the multiple fine stripes. The mapping on the Lear makes it a real challenge to paint.

You folks need to remember this is not an on-demand service.

You are free to post your requests, not to expect them to be undertaken.

Your asking someone to donate many hours of their time for your benefit. That person has to be willing to not only give their time, but also they need to have an interest in the livery itself.

Remember, patience is a virtue.

If you truly believe this (which I don't) then why waste Pete's bandwidth by posting at all?

Back when I had more free time than I do now I filled several paint requests and I typically did those for younger, less experienced simmers to help "fuel their fire" for FS and flying.

But that's just my opinion.

cheers,
Joe

Don't argue with idiots, they drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

I see your point. However, I do not mean to create any fuss by doing this, or expect someone to just act as my slave and do it for me. Although, I figured that someone like yourself would be interested in giving it a try is all Smiley

Thanks

I know I'm just used to on other forums like posky, they reject people for that reason. I only believe some people would do that, but I wrongly assumed everyone did. Sorry.
And also, what is that little Boba Fett thing for?

You know, a few years back I decided that it would be nice nice to have a G5 as a corp jet. But not having the $$$$s
that it would cost I decided to try my hand at repainting. After many hours & as many Buds, I realized a little patience and some devotion could render me a really nice, (sic) one that I was proud of, repaint. Download DXTBmp from SV, than pick a simple texture & try changing tail #s, then color scheme, then take on a larger project. You would be amazed at how good it feels to step back and look at your handiwork.
I use Paint Shop Pro but there are a lot of different paint programs out there.
Instead of posting requests, read them and the tutorials and jump in over your head...IT'S FUN

Yeah, but as I said earlier, I only wanted to see if someone else thought this plane was cool and wanted to repaint it... I'm not saying "MAKE THIS REPAINT OR ELSE!".

Besides, I didn't want to make this any kind of fiasco either.
