Hey, everyone.  I was hoping you would be able to help me with some issues I seem to be having downloading addon aircraft off of this website.  Just two weeks ago, when I tried to download two files at the same time, I got the message saying that only non registered  members can download 2 files simultaneously (it did this to me before when I accidentally "attempted" to download 3 files at once) even though I was only downloading 2 at a time.  Then, just two or three days ago, I try to download some kind of add-on aircraft that I want and I find that I get this download limit message saying the exact same thing I mentioned above.  Now I am unable to get anything off this site. I don't know what the problem could be and I am unsure of what to do next.  Smiley

A simple solution may just be that you need to reboot your PC.

Try with a different browser -- and make sure you have any download manager turned off.

This situation is always something very simple on your system that will be easy to resolve.

The reason to try a different browser is because your browser (possibly Internet Explorer?) may be trying to run your life and think you are an idiot. IE will sometimes block your access to perfectly safe files. Other browsers allow more natural control when browsing the internet.
Different browser?
Try firefox. (it's insane that PC's are still fitted with IE as default (monopoly law -- where are you?) )

Find firefox by googling 'firefox'
I use it -- & so does every programmer I know without exception.

SmileyI just installed firefox and when I try to download anything off this site, I get the same error message as before.  I have no idea what to do now, and any help would be appreciated. Huh By the way, I live in the United States of America, in case you were wondering.

... I wasn't wondering ... Smiley Like most sites we are on the net - worldwide  -  73% our user are US based.

Are you using any kind of download assistant?

The thing you have to realise is this is your system .. and you need to be specific if you want to find a solution. This is not a common situation.

If you can give as much info about what firewalls etc you are using (& if you have eliminated them as a possible cause - by turning off to do a test connect, for example) ..

I am using Windows 7 Home Premium.  I don't have any download managers turned on that I know of.  But needless to say, there are a few things I want from Simviation tonight that I can't get or find on any other site, so I am pretty baffled and preturbed. Angry

Say your using Firefox  Wink

Also turn off your firewall to see if that's the problem. If it is you need to set simviation as a trusted site (or similar depending on what firewall you use)

Ok, this advice is really helpful.  But do I go to control panel to see firewall/trused site settings?

No - your firewall.

What exact message are you getting with FF?

Presume you reboot your PC every day?

I am currently using internet explorer.  Also, I don't reboot my computer every day.  But I have already tried rebooting and that didn't do anything to solve the problem, as I said before.  I tried downloading with Firefox installed, and no success.  I also cannot turn off the firewall on the computer I'm using. How do I turn off the firewall and what are the risks?  I don't know what to do.  Any recommended add-ons that may bring the solution to my problem?
