BCDedit tweeks not working (Read 1047 times)

I have been tweeking my system using BCDedit to make Vista see 4GB of ram, but it doesnt make any difference to what Vista can see, Ive used "nx always off & pae ForceEnable" but taskmanager still sees only 3.3GB, any tips please.

Just a limitaion of a 32-bit operating system, I'm afraid. While anyone will tell you that 4GB is the maximum 32-bit software can use (address), some of that memory will always be use for hardware allocation. In your case, a little over 1/2 a GB. The only real way to effectively use your entire 4GB, would be to upgrade to a 64-bit OS. Wink
