There is a freeware utility called FreeUndelete which is good for recovering recently removed files. I've used it when I've zapped things by accident.

Could not find the file.  Also in this program once you have scanned a drive you have a list of folders.  If you open one of those folders how do you get back to the original folder list?  If I go into a folder I can't back up.

Did you defrag?
If you have defragged after deleting you've no chance of getting your file back, so make sure you've recovered all the files you need before you do any defragging.

May the Mynd be with you.
So far my number of landings either passenger or pilot equal my number of takeoffs, but that is due to change Smiley
