You MUST prepare your Firewall and router(if you use one) ports before connecting.  Wink

This link here will guide you through the port opening process: http://205.252.250.26/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1252421080

Your options are to either open all 106 ports, or disable your firewall before flying online.
I recommend opening the ports for the obvious security reasons,
but also just to know that you won't be the one causing a catastrophic connection failure for others while online.  Wink

To join a FSHost server with FSX, you´ll need to install FSHostClient.

You can download it here.
http://chocolatesoftware.com/fshost/?fshostclient.html

When that is done, before you start FSX do the following:

-Click the FSHostClient.exe

...

-The following window will pop up:

-In the IP address window, enter fs.netfrag.org,

-Enter your player name in the space provided

-Enter the server password in the space at the bottom.

-click 'Search IP for sessions

...

-When it finds the server, click Connect at the bottom.

...

-The chat window will then pop up, with your name in the list:

...

Now, start FSX in Windowed mode, and leave it that way.

Set AI traffic to 0%  and lock frames to 20 and you should be good  to go.

With the FSHost servers, users of FSX, FS2004, and FS2002 can all fly together at the same time with no problems!

The link to the Port opening thread is out of date.
