Doing a complete re-install on a new machine.  I'd love to get FedEx back in my skies.  WOAI no longer has it.

Anyone willing to email me a copy of the old installer package?

best,

WOAI has FedEx packages now under latest 15 releases.
http://www.world-of-ai.com/packages.php#airlines

I'm not sure if they're the old ones you're looking for but they now have some listings.
Hope this helps. Smiley

Thanks, but no, those are just the "feeder" lines on there now.  The small (mainly prop) carriers that bring stuff to the main FedEx hubs.  I need the main FedEx aircraft and routes.

I have all of those feeders installed already.

You can get it here at ProjectAI :http://www.projectai.com/forums/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=294

PS, not sure what sim your using, but it's made for 2004, but it can be easily recompiled to work in FSX.

Now you mention it...there was a missing cargo airline in my sim!
Didn't find WOAI but came across PAI V2 which really isn't too shabby.
I installed it as a standalone (Traffic_FEDEX_PAI.bgl) so it can be removed if necessary later.

When I saw your post, I was (am) in the process of loading up AI in my FSX, and I had the WOAI Fedex traffic in my FS9.  but because I got involved with building up FSX, I recently uninstalled FS9 and never thought to save any of the AI (darn)! Figured it always be there in WOAI. Anyway I've so far haven't had any problems with the PAI version. The planes are flying and the tarmac at Memphis is full. I aprreciate the heads-up thoe, I'll let you know if I run into any problems with it. All may other traffic is WOAI and so far so good no conflicts.

Yeah... you do think stuff will be around "forever".

Possibly I'll try the PAI version for that one.  Thanks.

Actually he should respect the request by World of AI and not re-distribute this package.

There is a reason this, and several other, packages were removed from the file libraries. When people distribute these packages against the wishes of WofAI it makes it harder for WofAI to get developers to contribute their time and efforts, for free, for future products.

That hurts us all.

I've never been able to figure out how install any of the PAI packages. The installer always gives me error message.

I'd like the WoAI FedEx package if possible also. WoAI is a sinch.

Thanks,

Read this thread:

http://205.252.250.26/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1292247225

WOAI has asked those of us who have any of those packages not to share them.  It apparently makes it much harder for them to negotiate with authors for new models for those packages.

Most of us are honoring that request.

How odd.
Is the problem with obtaining rights to create a new, updated package, or is the problem with model makers rescinding the rights to their models for the existing package?

Roll Eyes Fantastic.
Oh well, nothing we can do about it I suppose. Unless somebody creates new models.

I have been away from FS for a couple years, good to see the politics of AI traffic are still alive and well.  Grin

So could anyone be so kind and send it to me per e-mail?

Although I somewhat disagree with the whole situation, it is best if you do not ask to have the file sent to you.
The politics of AI package making can get pretty crazy, and if WOAI or MAIW or any other AI package maker is asking the people who love their files to please not share the files, then I really think asking for them on a public forum is not a good idea. WOAI is obviously asking this so that they can be put in a better situation in the long run.
Although I personally like the WOAI package better than the PAI package, the PAI FedEx package will do in a pinch. They are BOTH old packages, so instead of going behind the back of WOAI AND the model makers they are having problems with, lets support WOAI and honor their wishes. If we support them and they can work the situation out, I am sure updated FedEx and other deleted traffic packages will be some of the first things they work on.
Having just come back into FS, I too am missing the WOAI FedEx package, but I can wait, or use the PAI package for a while if it means more/better packages from WOAI in the long run.
Sorry for the semi-rant guys, I have been a part of AI package circles in the past with a well known group, and I have seen situations like this many times.
