Has anyone here used this website for flight planning?
http://skyvector.com/

I remember reading somewhere online that, you can use this website to plan flight's with Microsoft flight simulator's. If theirs anyone here using it, can you let us know how your doing it and, if it's really affective. Cheesy

Hey, Mrgothere!

Yes, Skyvector.com is a good resource for flight planning. I chart out my VFR flight plan using the sectional maps, then use the Flight Planner in FS 8 to program the flight into the sim. Since I only fly VFR direct, it's a straightforward thing to set the starting and ending airports. Then I reference the sectionals from Skyvector as I fly the route, to match up terrain features & landmarks. It'll also give you Airport information and IFR approach plates.
