I wanted to post this separately.

I'm watching the local news now, there's a very heavy storm system on its way in to South Florida, it'll hit about 8EST Fri night.  They're talking max heavy rain and thunderstorms.

The good news is that after it passes through, Sunday is looking OK for gametime.  We had torrential rains here a few years ago during the Super Bowl, don't know which one it was, and fans don't want to repeat that.

We've had almost perfect weather here lately, so the system is at least well timed. 48 hours later and we'd have a real mess here.

There has been some talk about enclosing Sun Life Stadium, as always, it's a money issue, many locals do not want their prop taxes raised to do that, so good weather will encourage future Super Bowls here and perhaps quiet that for now.  We already had a problem with the new Florida Marlins stadium, which finally went through, I forget under what conditions, and is now under construction on the very site that the old Orange Bowl stood (the stadium used by the Miami Dolphins before Sun Life was built), I forget under what conditions, but there were the usual tax issues.

Super Bowl XLIV is certainly getting a lot of local news coverage, with one of the biggest halftime acts being the Who.

Hmm, is it 'Super Bowl' or 'Superbowl'?  Gotta watch for that.

OK, well, so much for the heavy stuff, the whole system fizzled out.  Hope they forecast better then that this hurricane season.

The weather has been pretty bad since the Pro Bowl.  We only had one good day all week.

Saturday and Sunday are expected to be Chamber of Commerce weather - not too hot, not too cold, no clouds, no rain.

Hurricane predictions are like psychics.  They're never right so when they come close (by chance) we remember them as eerily accurate.  I predict that 3-4 hurricanes will hit Florida this year.

Just joking about hurricane forecasting, but they track them pretty well once the hurricanes pop up.  Usually.

Still a good forecast here, today was clear, then partly cloudy, tomorrow in the 60's, still good game weather.  Ch 6.2 radar scope shows nothing out there in S. Florida.

Hmm, there's a space shuttle launch tomorrow.  Gotta have good weather for that.
