97 Chevy 3/4 ton Silverado 4x4 extended cab short bed...350 Vortec V8....Its seen better days
Body isn't to bad...but the engine at only 108,000 miles is about to blow already thanks to an oil coolant line blowing a couple months ago while I was doing 80mph down an interstate, nowhere to get off without getting killed...had to drive it without oil for a mile till I could hit an off ramp.
Surprised it even survived that disaster, harder then hell to get it started in this cold weather now but its still running strong

You got to love the Chevy small block.
Short of locking up or throwing a piston, they can survive just about anything long enough to get you where you're going.

That is the most impressive car to be listed yet. Even in your garage, protected from the elements, an Allegro should have turned to dust many, many years ago

So rare there are none listed! There's a blue 1979 Vanden Plas with 53,000 on the clock for £1375 on Autotrader.
You could always go and get a nice new car too with the scrappage allowance, and then flog it on!

Interesting is one word to call it and if you did not know any better you might call it French. They are known for suspension on cars that just make you shake your head and wonder what the designer was smoking that day

...the Citroen DS, with its amazing/peculiar suspension?

It was always strange seeing them start up, whereby the whole car would slowly rise up from the ground under hydraulic pressure in its suspension....

The Austin Allegro, etc, Hydrolastic (self-levelling) suspension made the early BMC Mini's very competitive in Motor Sport.
I was always very impressed with it!

The motoring 'experts' always said that car was at least 20 years before its time. The same principle is still used on Citroen cars today. Also by other manufacturers including Rolls-Royce.

My BMC Ausin Allegro, Morris 1100, and 1300GT were always a joy to drive, with their self levelling Hydrolastic suspension....it worked a treat!
Hugged the corners at speed, with no tilting and danger of tipping over!

Forgot to mention, my wife has an Opel Corsa C. It is affectionately known as "Skippy"................because the interior resembles the inside of a Skip (dumpster). You name it, you will find it on the floor. Sweet wrappers, newspaper, children's toys, bits of children's toys, children's balloons, deflated children's ballons, sticks, yes I said sticks (the dog found them on walks and she thinks he likes to keep them), chopsticks (not worked that on out yet), a couple of matchbox cars, endless bits of paper with directions on them (SHE HAS A SAT NAV!!!!!!!!), at least 5 different ice scrappers, mobile phone charging cable......from at least two phones ago, maps for the whole of Germany, even though the car never goes more then 50 miles from home (SHE HAS A SAT NAV!!!!!!!!!!!), And finally, the same CD in the CD player since she picked up the car from the dealer brand new 7 YEARS AGO!!!!

That's not that bad for that size engine.
I suppose they need that kind of economy to sell them as Vauxhalls and Opels in Europe.

My family has three cars:
A piece of crap 2004 Dodge Neon, but hey, 30MPG isn't too bad.
2001 Chevy Camaro 3.8L V6 (yes, a family car.)
1998 GMC Suburban 5.7L V8 - It's a bit of a gas guzzler, but
very
reliable. It just passed the big 250,000 mile mark a few months ago (252,988 total).

I suspect you mean the Suburban is a 5.7L, the good ole 350 cubic inch that is no longer made. Just a hint, if you haven't had to replace the transmission in it yet, you will.

When we bought it back in 2000, the previous owner was nice enough to pay for a replacement transmission.
We were halfway between Texas and North Carolina when the thing started to act up...My Dad wanted to get home so badly he drove 650 miles in fourth gear, and the last 100 miles in third gear.
Aside from a that & couple of deer that
it hit
hit it
, it has barely been in the shop at all.

1990 Mustang LX... 5-liter, 5-speed. Somehow passed the NJ emissions test with the smog pump disconnected, but it does have 4 (!) cats, so it's not really that powerful. Fun to drive, though, gets decent fuel mileage if I take it easy, does fine in snow with 200 lbs. of sand in the trunk, and the ergonomics suit me.
Speaking of parents' cars: my old man was an auto salesman for many years, and usually drove the demos. Growing up, I remember the family flivvers being Volvo 544s, 120s, 240s, and an E-1800, as well as a few Saabs, and even a Renault 16.
My mother had a very nice little Peugot 404 for a while, and a Gremlin...

What happened to the Geo ??
I drive a 2009 Nissan Versa ... I have a 1972 Datsun 240Z in super-secret storage.. a 1978 Chevy pickup with a snow blade (
and I'm not even sure where it is right now.. it kinda floats around during the winter months
).. 1/3 ownership in a 1976 Piper Warrior.. an old Polaris 4-wheeler, and a Polaris Snow-mobile that sorta tails the Chevy

Bucket list?
If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

My specs... A hard drive, motherboard, graphics card, some memory, a keyboard, mouse, and monitor - in other words, nothing special.
