Forgot to mention, my wife has an Opel Corsa C. It is affectionately known as "Skippy"................because the interior resembles the inside of a Skip (dumpster). You name it, you will find it on the floor. Sweet wrappers, newspaper, children's toys, bits of children's toys,  children's balloons, deflated children's ballons, sticks, yes I said sticks (the dog found them on walks and she thinks he likes to keep them), chopsticks (not worked that on out yet), a couple of matchbox cars, endless bits of paper with directions on them (SHE HAS A SAT NAV!!!!!!!!), at least 5 different ice scrappers, mobile phone charging cable......from at least two phones ago, maps for the whole of Germany, even though the car never goes more then 50 miles from home (SHE HAS A SAT NAV!!!!!!!!!!!), And finally, the same CD in the CD player since she picked up the car from the dealer brand new 7 YEARS AGO!!!!

That's not that bad for that size engine. Smiley I suppose they need that kind of economy to sell them as Vauxhalls and Opels in Europe. Smiley

My family has three cars:

A piece of crap 2004 Dodge Neon, but hey, 30MPG isn't too bad.

2001 Chevy Camaro 3.8L V6 (yes, a family car.) Cheesy

1998 GMC Suburban 5.7L V8 - It's a bit of a gas guzzler, but very reliable. It just passed the big 250,000 mile mark a few months ago (252,988 total). Shocked

I suspect you mean the Suburban is a 5.7L, the good ole 350 cubic inch that is no longer made.  Just a hint, if you haven't had to replace the transmission in it yet, you will.

When we bought it back in 2000, the previous owner was nice enough to pay for a replacement transmission.

We were halfway between Texas and North Carolina when the thing started to act up...My Dad wanted to get home so badly he drove 650 miles in fourth gear, and the last 100 miles in third gear. Shocked Grin Aside from a that & couple of deer that it hit hit it Angry, it has barely been in the shop at all.

You can say that - Funny, here at sea level I never get the antipollution error, but when I go inland, I get it!  So it doesn't really affect me  Tongue
