G'day guys,

Just got a quick nooblet question - I'm keen to install a good AI C-17 for traffic in Iraq and Afghanistan.

There doesn't seem to be many around - but I noticed that WoAI has one. (I don't use WoAI currently)

I'm just a bit scared though of the whole WoAI 'package'  - will it install flight-plans with the aircraft?

I've spent hours (dozens and dozens) getting my traffic file just right and I don't want it tampered with by an installer.  Will WoAI overwrite my flight plans?  Is it possible to just install the aircraft with no plans?

Otherwise, anyone know of a good AI C-17 out there?

Cheers guys - sorry for the dumb questions Wink

Hi Stew,

There's no such thing as a dumb question. Yes, WoAI installs a flightplan (trafficfile) with the airplane. However it will not overwrite any trafficfile you made or added. You could install the package, throw away the trafficfile and keep the plane, but it won't work anymore. AI traffic needs flightplans to show up.

Nothing to be scared of.  All of our packages and all of WoAI's packages can be installed into a temporary folder where you can look at the files contained in each package before you decide to install them into your setup.  You do have to chose that option on your own, otherwise the auto installers will put the package contents into their proper folders.

Just a heads up.  If you decide to install a package from WoAI, you must use the WoAI installer.  It must be downloaded separately.  All of their packages can be found on their website.

BTW, there is a new AI C-17 model on the way that will be an improvement on the original. Wink
