Hi,

I'm looking at buying a new computer to start school and I'm wondering if anyone knows if Flight Simulator 2002 will be compatable with a 64 Bit system and new Windows Vista or Windows 7?  Also I'm looking at installing some traffic programs to add in real airlines and change runway take off locations.  Does anyone know of any good programs that I should buy and that will also be compatable with the new system?

Thank You!

Mike

Only advanced to XP, I can't decisively answer this but, since I've been able to install the ancient FS98 on XP with no problems, I'd expect the more recent FS8 should operate on a newer OS, maybe even without selecting "Run as" in the properties window. If you already have the FS8 program software, attempt the install and go from there.

Cool

Thank you for writing. I suppose.  Or perhaps I can get a hold of Microsoft.  Thanks again!

I've been updating CFS1 edits in my FS2k2; if they're already set up for it (i.e. FS2k2 downloads), they should work.

I ended up reformatting my older computer and just reinstalled everything.  It's been near two years since I used flight simulator 2002 so I had to retrain myself on how to use it correctly.  Now the difficult part has been finding all the aircraft I've had over the years prior. I bought FS Traffic 2002 on Ebay and major airport traffic patterns are now correct so right now I can say I'm content with all the work I've put in to enjoy myself,  Thank you for all the help.
