Was wondering if when installing updates you needed to delete the old files before installation or do the updates just overwrite them?

That is the way it is "supposed" to work but on occasion it has not worked for me.

So I always go into the "expert" mode and delete the old package prior to installing an updated one - just to be on the safe side.  It only takes a few more minutes.

I think I might already have a few doubles in there. I see the occasional plane driving along the ground a mile or so behind one in the air. lol

Usually when the files are installed into your scenery file, they are name something like DeltaSu09, for Delta Summer of 2009 flight plans.  If you install an update, it would place a file like DeltaWn2009, so you would then have two different sets of flight plans for the same airline.  I usually go into the scenery folder and delete the old one before installing the newer one.  I don't usually update mine that often, unless I'm looking for a significant flight plan change.

Yeah I think so. You have to delete the files from the world scenery folder.  I also remove em from the WOAI installer using the delete airlines selection.

I love World of AI, once you figure it out.  My main problem now is when I start up FS2004, I get 3 or 4 planes appearing all at once about a mile out from the runway on final, one will land and the others are told to go around.

I don't know if I change the flight plans' arrival time (inflight speed) if that will make a difference.  Does it back up the whole airline nationally?  Or is the AIs only triggered when near the user aircraft?  I started using the AI Seperator program found on flightsim today and haven't determined if it works well yet.

Also I get planes on the ground freezing up on the taxiway.  I believe this is from them having no place to park.

Do these AI use default airport AFCADs or does WOAI provide new AFCADs with their package, like MAIW military packages do?

The problem is with FS.  On first load up, FS loads all the flight plans for the prior 15 minutes to current time.  If you let it load, then wait about 15 minutes it all sorts out.  I think I read that on WOAI's forum.

Thanks, I wish I had more info on how WOAI works.  The docs dont really explain a lot and their forum has been abandoned it looks like.

Woai forums have never really been much on Q&A. Everything I have needed to learn about anything Woai, I've found right here on SimV.
