In the winters of 208 AD a battle one of the most decisive battles of the dynasty took place. Cao Cao vs Zhou Yu.
This battle ment the Jing Province.
Here is how some think the battle may have taken down:
Zhuge Liang was a great strategist. He predicted fog would come at the time a tortoise sweats from its shell. His army then went to Cao Cao place during the heavy fog with Scarecrows on board dressed as soldiers. The enemy army( Cao Cao) shot over 100,000 arrows at the Scarecrow army. But what did this do you might ask?
Well if gave Zhou Yu's army 100,000 arrows and lessen the arrows Cao Cao had.
During this time the repeating crossbow came about as well as firebombs.
With the addition to the Southwesternly wind Zhuge Lian had an advantage against Cao Cao. Cao Cao had the idea of locking his boats together to make his fleet look a lot bigger. Well when Zhou Yu's army came to attack, they had boats they set on fire, ram at full speed then jump off bursting Cao Cao's boats on fire. And the Southwesternly wind stated above was here as well which caused the flame to spread rapidly among the enemy ships. Cao Cao was defeated and retreated to the north.
