Flight Simulator 2000 and Windows XP (Read 2049 times)

Hi!,
When I start FS 2000 on Windows XP, it just stops on the splash screen with the concord.  I have run it in compatibility mode for Windows 2000 and Windows 98.  In 98 compatibility, it comes up with one of those error "don't send/send" message boxes.  Here is the system info:

OS: Windows XP Service Pack 3
Video Card: ATI Radeon 9600
Direct X Version: ???

Your system specs are similar to mine, and I get the same problem when I install some addons that for some reason the program doesn't seem to like.  Last time I reinstalled FS2000 (Pro) I added one addon at a time and restarted the program.  If it failed I would remove the last thing I installed.
