I recently imported the bd-5s. Everything seams to work except they will not turn while taxiing. Did I miss something in the transfere?
Hi there. This sort of problem is unlikely to be caused by you missing anything. The aircraft will either work or it won't.
I'm assuming you mean the BD-5 package posted here.
http://www.simviation.com/fs2002props13.htmI downloaded the file to check it out & the aircraft have been configured with a fixed nosewheel. Look for a file named Aircraft.cfg in one of the BD-5 main folders. Open it in Notepad & scroll down to the [contact_points] section. point.0 is usually the nosewheel or tailwheel. I've pasted it below. The value in Bold is the steering angle in degrees right & left. (0 is fixed & 180 is fully castoring.) This is the cause of your problem.
[contact_points]
point.0= 1, 5.37, 0.0, -1.95, 4000, 0, 0.27,
0.0, 0.115, 1.0, 0.7, 0.8, 0.90, 0
I suggest changing the value to 45 degrees to start with. You can change this later if necessary.
point.0= 1, 5.37, 0.0, -1.95, 4000, 0, 0.27,
45.0, 0.115, 1.0, 0.7, 0.8, 0.90, 0
Then exit Notepad saving changes when prompted.
Please try it & tell me if that fixed it. Don't forget to modify the Aircraft.cfg in each variation of the aircraft & take back-up copies of the files first in case you make a mistake.
