Is anyone running CFS3 on a widescreen monitor, so that the image displays correctly in either 16:10 or 16:9 aspect ratio?

If so, what did you do to make it happen?

Hi,me again.

I just installed CFS3 this very minute to see what happened(I really don't think much of it).

The install screen on my 22" LCD was 50% screen size but went full screen on running.

On the right hand side of the screen at the top was a screen option.

The selections all seemed to work ok.

So for me it works fine.

Cheers,

Col.

.........and on top of that, went for a fly and everything was fine for about 3 mins. and then froze.

No more CFS!!!!!!!!

But bottom line,it did work fine until then.

Cheers,

Col.

You are absolutely right.
I installed CFS3, and then clicked on the PLAY button: When it got to the screen with the pilot hanging around the airfield, it automatically displayed in widescreen. I then went into DISPLAY OPTIONS and chose 1680x1050, which is my monitor's native resolution. When I started flying, everything displayed in the correct aspect ratio, i.e: gauges are circular, not oval.

Thanks packercolinl, your advice is sound.

Hello, Not exactly the same question but I use 3 monitors . Does CFS3 allow multiple monitors to move some views to an other Monitor?

Does CFS3 allow to run in "windowed mode" like FSX?

Thanks in advance
