I cant install it past 31% and I get this:
...

The disk isn't scratched, and its only the 3rd or 4th install, and it worked every time before, its been in the box for a while.

Any ideas?

Its the cheaper 'Xplosiv' version, and I had pretty much the same problem with their Train Sim disk too, but they wouldnt replace it.

Thanks

This is not uncommon. First make sure the CD is clean & undamaged. Wipe it carefully with a soft cloth if necessary. Close all unnecessary programs & disable anti-virus software. Then try again.

No idea what this is. Is it a legal copy?

I saw this on Amazon.com:  "Microsoft Flight Simulator 2002: Xplosive Range (PC CD) by Empire", so I guess that's what you're talking about.
A couple of reviews there, all positive, but no other infomation about this particular edition.  It looks legit.

If it won't install after several tries, and you've done all the other things suggested here, one of the disks could be faulty, even though unscratched.

If you still want to run FS2002, just the other day I saw new Microsoft copies available from J & R Music World (google to get the exact website address), I think for $10 American.  J&R is reliable, and should have a stated return policy also.
