I hope Roger does not mind me posting my quest also.  Wink
I just got Oblivion on Tuesday. It has taken some time to get used to. In reality, I don't know what everything does as there is allot.
So what I intend to do is grab everything I can, without being overweight, follow my instructions and run like hell!
So here it goes...

OK, here is my character I created. I tried to make him look like me with the many, many facial adjustments that you can customize.
Did not change my name much but I think it at least "looks" like it goes.

...

You start off as a prisoner in a cell. The guards and the Emperor summon you to follow them out of the Castle.
...

While we are escaping the castle, we are jumped by a few evil things.
...

The guards manage to kill them. I am instructed to find my way out by myself and I am left to fend for myself in this place that is under attack..
...

While I am standing there alone in this cold dark place, I hear some squeaking sounds.
I turn around to find that I am being attacked by huge rats!
I pummel them to the ground and kill both! Whew! First kills!
...

Thanks for the help so far Roger. Sorry I do not know the names of these characters yet, nor do I know how to use all the weapons and things.
I have managed to figure out how to get things, open doors and basically punch the crap out of many of the rats, goblins and subterranean creatures that have been attacking me.
Thanks also for posting those tips on how to remove the HUD and bring up the console.

I figured I would get this as Roger's shots of Oblivion have always fascinated me. It was the type of game I was looking for when I want to get away from Flight Sim.
I have tried Company of Heroes & Call of Duty 2 but there was too much to learn.

So I hope you don't mind me posting shots of this mystical world that I am about to embark on.
Like I said, this is a trial as I am basically going to follow my instructions and try to get used to all the options and choices there are to make...

Wish me luck...
Signed....

The Bretons are a good race. I started out as one in Morrowind and I finished the main quest with him. He's still my main character. You should work on your magic a lot. Bretons tend to be good at that. I didn't work on it enough and I've somewhat come to regret that. My melee skills are excellent though. But at one day you're gonna grow tired of the simple bashings. It's nice to be able to pul a magic trick or two out of your sleeve.  Wink

On the contrary, it is pretty easy to pick up.
I just need to figure out all the options.
