A friend  has this problem in his fs2002: when hit shift 02 or the gps icon in all the default planes only sees the black space. I checked if is the gps gauge is in the Gauges directory and I find :gps.gau; then I check the panel cfg in the 172 and the 737 default and the window 02 says gauge 00=gps!gps,0,0 150,250. Have I to check anything more  .Are those finding correct ? Any idea? Thanks a lot. Undecided

Hi. This used to be a common problem with FS2002. I suspect that he's overwritten the default GPS.gau when installing an addon aircraft or panel. You should be able to recover the original GPS.gau from the FS2002 CDs.
