Been out of town on a big job for the last 6 weeks, but I haven't forgotten about my own little project.
Scored some slightly weather-damaged stuff that was going to be tossed out.

A camera controller: no workie no more, so I ripped the main board and the joysticks out of it. Not sure about the joysticks, but I can sure use all those lovely illuminated pushbuttons, as well as the few pots.

...

These little LCDs power up OK, but they only take SDI, so I can't really test them. Can't really use them, either, unless I get something to output SDI.
Doesn't matter, 'cuz it was free, it will fit in my duffel for the flight home, and if it works it's worth probably $1000.  Gimme.

Those switches on the PCB look great, they are pretty pricey new, good find. You could overlay them with some transparent inkjet paper, that way you have labeled illuminated switches.

Yeah... my biggest problem finding switches like that was finding a supplier who does small orders... I already bought a bunch of cheapo switches, but some of these will be worth the trouble of de-soldering, etc.

I mostly needed a few light-up momentaries for my audio and AP panels; that's why I had to grab this.

Or I may use all of them... that would be great to have the labels on the switches; much cleaner look.

The 2-axis joystick I may use for my main stick (with a proper grip attached, with more buttons)... the other one is a single-axis, but it has a pushbutton and a twist ring; might be useful for something.

I considered that... but not likely with this project. Maybe later, or maybe I'll have a "Leftover Stuff Giveaway" when I'm more or less finished... getting tired of sorting through all the junk I've been accumulating.

IF you wont to lable your light up switches you wont some printable acetate the kind of stuff that Schools use on projectors.
The Inkjet compable stuff is not expensive and you can get very good results wont have a dulling effect eather like using some paper over your switch would.

The acetate should be avalble at any office supply shop like Staples.

They were part of a show installation that was "Katrina-ized"... they were to be thrown away, but they apparently work (power up with good blue screen; no bad pixels).

The only trouble is they will only accept a SDI signal, so I haven't been able to properly test them. Not really interested in paying for an expensive SDI interface.  If I do find that they are fully functional, I'll probably sell them.
