I personally think there should be ten upload slots on the upload page. This is because I usually have my shots right around 100K and when I do a two part thing I have to upload eight and then the other two. And because you can have 5 shots at 100k per thread so it makes sense to have a multiple of 5.
Just a suggetion

And maybe you'd like to consider all those poor users who DON'T have broadband and for whom such threads take a looooooooong time to load?

If you want multiples of 5 maybe it's better to reduce it to 5 & done with.

Let me give you an example - It's like buying an 8 pack of hot dogs and a ten pack of buns
It was just a suggestion. Don't get too worked up

This idea makes a lot more sense to me than what's already in place
I've done a few sets of shots with more than 5 pictures. Having those extra 2 would certainly make a lot more sense when uploading shots that are set into 500kb/thread of shots

When the likes of Ramsa has shots typically 60K - what is the point of doing it in 5's or 10's. Shots are not typically 100K. If you are simply squeezing them down to 100K then you need to know a little more about graphics compression...
They can usually be a lot lower than that before quality is noticed.

I post a lot of images here & really don't understand the problem. Why is it more difficult to upload them in batches of 8 than 10 or any other number you like to think of? It's now much easier to upload & post images on this forum than it's ever been.
