I guess i'll be the first Smiley

If you want some awesome freeware scenery for taking some good shots, look no further than George Grimshaw's Boston Intl.  scenery, in my opinion it is the one of best sceneries available!

Avail here: http://www.simviation.com/fs2004scenery74.htm

If you have FS9, and you don't have this...Real Environment Professional... go to  Avsim..cough cough..vomit...... punch in reprosetup.zip...... what are you waiting for...67,000 downloads can't be wrong..it's incredible...total scenery makeover.. Wink

Probably overkill but for those of you not familiar with these tools this might be a nice heads up.
I mainly use Walk & Follow but I also frequently use these excellent freeware tools:

I then use Adobe Photoshop and/or Corel Paintshop Pro to edit the shots Wink

Always, always, always experiment. Archive new results by messing around with lighting, weather, angles, time of day, and last aircraft. Experiment with different aircraft textures. The more you mess around in your sim the more you will find it easier to take a good screenshot. Wink

I, personally, like to have aseries of asymmetries across all the grounds (foreground, middleground, background) that all come together to form one well balanced image that is easy to look at. If the foreground is the plane, for example, I try to not have the plane centered in the shot, because to me, beauty in photography does not come from symmetry in your grounds, but asymmetries that equal out.
Plus, having asymmetries in a picture allows you to have less of the foreground, middleground or background being blocked in by each other. Wink
Symmetry is important, but it is NOT an axiom.

Might BPB, but for some people who don't know this, it might be nice to know.

If the textures around you seem blurry to you, you might want to go into your Controls > Assignments menu and find the command 'Refresh Scenery'. This will reload all the textures of your environment and giving you a nice and detailed flying area again. Cheesy

Thought I'd bring back an old line of tutes...see here

Always set your visibility in the sim down to 20-30 miles. This will create a nice realistic looking mist in the distance and obscure any jaggy horizons Smiley
