~S~ all,

I am a little confused. As to how to add flak to my scenery. I use Martin Wrights Programs and the built in editor. I can add buildings, aircraft even mountains and new islands. But I am lost when it comes to Flak guns. I have a alps 3 scenery file with flak all over the valley. But don`t know how its done. Could any one tell me or point me in the right direction.

Thanks Hank

Maybe there's an advantage to learning to compose missions in notepad/wordpad (I've never used an editor, although I once unsuccessfully tried). Editors usually set the sequencing differently but I can usually figure them out if I look through them. Check your PM.

I have used a couple of mission editors. Not always with sucess. However with a little patience, Cor Dirklands editor is the most reliable for me. when writing missions.
And the scenery editors by MW, all work fine.
Microsofts built in scenery editor can be tedious but its okay.
I have found out in the last couple of days that a Flak explosion is some kind of collision bubble.
I guess thats a start.

I hope some one can write a good easy to understand mission editor for CFS1. Something like Coyotes did with his Tutorial for CFS2.

Basically, you are running into another flying object (or it into you) but it's effects are rather like those for a timed rocket.

MW's active macros are dynamic scenery & not mission objects. I have no idea how they work but believe they can either be set as visual only effects or to actually damage/destroy aircraft.

PS. See my reply to your duplicate question in the CFS1 forum.
